Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of christiireland.com (the "Website"), operated by Christiireland, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), and any coaching services you purchase through it.

Please read them. They include limitations on our liability and a section on how disputes are resolved.

By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the Website.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer, both of which form part of your agreement with us.

Books, journals and music. Published under our own name and under the Reflection in Color imprint. These are sold by third-party retailers such as Amazon, not by us. When you buy a book you are buying it from that retailer, on their terms, and any problem with the order is in the first instance theirs to resolve — though we would still like to hear about it.

Free material. A free audio practice, sample pages, and a monthly email called The Monthly Note.

Coaching: how it is purchased

1. You submit a coaching application through the Website.

2. You book a free discovery call.

3. If we both decide it is a good fit, we send you a coaching agreement and a payment link.

4. You sign the agreement and pay.

5. You book your first session.

The coaching agreement, not this document, governs the coaching relationship. Where the two differ, the agreement takes precedence. These Terms cover your use of the Website and the commercial arrangement around your purchase.

Price. The price of the twelve-week program is fixed and is discussed with you directly on the discovery call. It is not published on the Website. The price you are quoted is the price you pay: no tax or fee is added at checkout.

Payment. Payment is made in full, in advance, through Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details; we never see or store them. We do not accept card numbers given verbally, by email, or by text, and we will not ask you for them.

Booking and rescheduling

Sessions. The coaching package runs twelve weeks, one session a week, ninety minutes each time. Please plan for about thirty minutes afterwards — sessions sometimes run a few minutes over, and you may simply want time to sit with what came up.

Time zone. All appointments are set in Mountain Time. The booking calendar shows times in your own local time zone automatically.

Booking and rescheduling. Sessions are booked through the calendar link we provide. A reschedule link is included in every confirmation email and you may use it at any time.

Late arrival. We will wait fifteen minutes before releasing the time. A session that begins late still ends at its scheduled time.

Missed sessions and short notice. A session canceled with less than twenty-four hours' notice, or missed without contact, counts as used.

Pausing. You may pause your package for any reason, with notice. Requests to pause or reschedule should be made in writing, by email or text.

How long a package lasts. A package remains valid for one year from the date of purchase.

If contact stops. Where four consecutive sessions are missed without contact, and two emails have gone unanswered, the package is closed.

Emergencies. Life does not always give notice. Where something genuinely unavoidable happens, tell us and we will work it out.

Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel before your first session, we refund what you paid, less payment processing fees.

If you decide after two sessions that this is not right for you, tell us and we refund 75% of the fees you paid, less payment processing fees. A request must reach us before your third session.

There is no cancellation fee, and you do not need to give a reason. To cancel, email [email protected].

If we end the arrangement. We may do so at any time if continuing would not be appropriate — for example if your needs would be better served by a licensed professional. We will speak with you first wherever possible, and will refund every session not yet delivered.

Session recording

Coaching sessions are recorded. Sessions take place on Zoom, and the recording produces a video and audio file, a written transcript and a summary.

Why. Change of this kind often feels worse before it feels better, and people lose sight of how far they have come. Being able to return to how you spoke about something thirty, sixty or ninety days earlier is the clearest evidence that anything has shifted.

Consent, and the right to decline. You give consent in writing in the coaching agreement, before any session takes place. You may decline to be recorded and you will be worked with on exactly the same terms. Declining costs you nothing.

You may ask for a copy of any of your own recordings at any time.

What a recording contains. You are asked to be on camera for the first minute or two of each session so we can see that you are somewhere quiet and private. After that your camera is optional. A recording may therefore include video as well as audio.

How recordings are held. Securely, in a private account. They are never shared with anyone, never used in marketing, and the setting that would allow the software to learn from session content is switched off.

How long they are kept. Files are reviewed each January, and recordings belonging to anyone no longer working with us are deleted — so a recording is kept for up to one year after you finish. You may ask for yours to be deleted sooner at any time.

Your stories remain yours. You retain ownership of your own experiences. Nothing you share in a session will be published, quoted or attributed to you without your written permission.

Our intellectual property

Everything on this Website and everything we publish is owned by Christiireland, LLC or licensed to us. That includes:

Our books, journals and coloring books, and their interior pages and illustrations.
Our songs, recordings and lyrics.
Our audio practices and guided exercises.
Our worksheets, exercises and coaching materials.
The text, photographs, design, logos and brand marks on this Website.

You may read, listen to and use our material for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may quote a short passage with attribution, and you may link to any page on this Website.

You may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, adapt or create derivative works from our material; use it to train an artificial intelligence model or dataset; reproduce coloring pages or worksheets for classroom, group, clinical or commercial use; or present our material as your own.

To ask permission, email [email protected]. The answer is often yes.

Coaching materials given to clients are for that client's personal use during and after the program. They may not be shared, taught from, or used with anyone else.

Reporting infringement

If you believe material on this Website infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including: your signature (electronic is fine); identification of the work; where the infringing material appears; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized; and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate.

We take these seriously and respond promptly.

How you may use this Website

You agree to use this Website lawfully. You agree not to:

Impersonate Christi Ireland or misrepresent your connection to us.
Send spam, chain mail or unsolicited promotional material through any form on this Website.
Use any robot, spider, scraper or automated means to access, monitor or copy the Website or its content.
Introduce viruses, malware or anything designed to damage or interfere with the Website.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or any server or database connected to it.
Overload, disrupt or interfere with the Website or anyone else's use of it.
Use the Website in any way that breaks the law.

We may restrict or refuse access to anyone who does any of these.

Text messages

If you opt in, we send appointment reminders only — one the day before a booked session and one an hour before, containing the time and your meeting link. We do not send marketing by text.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for undelivered or delayed messages.

To stop, reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT to any message, or email us. You will receive one confirmation and nothing further. To start again, reply START or contact us. For help, reply HELP or contact us.

Stopping text messages does not unsubscribe you from email, and unsubscribing from email does not stop appointment reminders. They are separate.

Links to other websites

This Website links to sites we do not control, including retailers and social media platforms. We provide those links for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, their practices or their security, and a link is not an endorsement. Once you leave this Website, their terms and their privacy policies apply.

Disclaimers

Please read our Disclaimer. It sets out important limits on what we do — in particular that coaching is not therapy, counseling or medical care, and that our books and materials are general information rather than personal advice.

This Website and everything on it is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we make no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Information on this Website may contain errors or be out of date. We may correct it at any time without notice.

No outcome is promised or guaranteed — not from coaching, not from any book, and not from any practice described here.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Christiireland, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use of this Website or of anything obtained through it.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to this Website or your purchase will not exceed the amount you have actually paid us.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Christiireland, LLC from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your infringement of anyone's rights.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. They are not governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Talk to us first. Most disputes are resolved by a conversation, and we would prefer to have one. Please email [email protected] before taking any other step.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Colorado, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.

You and Christiireland, LLC each agree to bring claims only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.

General

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding this Website. They do not replace the coaching agreement, which stands separately.

Age. This Website is for adults. You confirm you are at least eighteen.

Events outside our control. Neither you nor we are responsible for a failure or delay in meeting these Terms caused by something outside reasonable control — including illness, bereavement, a family emergency, severe weather, fire or flood, power or internet failure, the failure of a platform or service we depend on, an act of government, or civil disruption. Where such an event prevents a session going ahead, we will contact you and reschedule it at no cost to you. Where it prevents us continuing altogether, we will refund every session not yet delivered.

Changes. We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted on this Website with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Website after that means you accept the change.
