Most fasting advice is about food.

The hard part isn't.

A stress-free guide for women — the science, the protocols, and the part nobody talks about.

Why I wrote

Intermittent Fasting for Women

I wrote this for women who have tried fasting and found the advice was written for someone else. Someone without hormonal shifts, without a day that's already full, without a history with food.

It covers the science, the protocols — 16/8, 5:2, alternate-day — how to adapt fasting to your cycle rather than fight it, what to eat when you break a fast, and how to work with your energy instead of overriding it.

And it covers the part most fasting books skip: what to do when the craving isn't hunger, when the inner critic starts, when one slip turns into I've failed at this too.

Every chapter stands alone. Start wherever you need support.

A gentle space to track progress, reflect, and stay empowered

What readers say

"As a woman in my 50s, staying fit and energized has become a much more nuanced journey than it was in my 30s… It's not just a guide to intermittent fasting; it's a compassionate, stress-free roadmap to reclaiming energy, balance, and confidence."

— H. Bartlett, Florida

"I can't thank you enough! I found intermittent fasting, and using this book as my roadmap made all the difference. I was able to stay consistent. LIFE-CHANGING information!!!"

— M. Moen, Alaska

"It encouraged me to slow down and reflect on my relationship with food — my choices, my consumption habits, and the emotional triggers behind them… the book served as a gentle reminder to practice self-kindness and extend grace to myself along the way."

— T. Walters, Colorado

Chapter 12 is the one people ask me about

"The emotional resilience skills no one ever tells you you're going to need — and exactly how to build them."

Chapter 12 is about the part of fasting that isn't food. The craving that isn't hunger. The voice that says I have to be perfect or I failed. The voice that says I can't do this.

I don't coach fasting — there are people far more qualified in that than I am. What I work with is the part underneath: the beliefs that decide how you treat yourself when something gets hard. Most of them were formed long before you ever thought about food.

Every chapter ends with a Coaching Reflection Exercise — thirteen of them across the book. The first one is called Your Relationship with Food.

Why You Eat When You're Not Hungry

Six questions with space to write — the Chapter 12 exercise, from the Reflection Journal.
