Five Minutes to Settle

Some days your mind won't stop. It's either back in something that already happened, or out ahead of something that hasn't. Your body is the only part of you that's here.

This is a five-minute practice you can do sitting down — no experience, no equipment, nothing to believe in.

A short note from me once a month. Leave whenever you like.

What you'll hear

  • We start with your breath — just noticing it, then letting it slow. That on its own brings you closer to now.

  • Then we move through your body a piece at a time, with long pauses. The quiet is where the noticing happens.

  • And it's yours to keep. Breath first, then the body.

Who it's for

Sitting in your parked car before you go inside. When you're tired but you can't settle. When you notice your thoughts are starting to circle.

You don't have to be in crisis to need five minutes.
